During the plant market in the botanical garden in Leiden Wieteke Opmeer and Caro de Bruin are giving a workshop in botanical stamp carving. What would be more satisfying than turning the beautiful plants, flowers and seeds from the gardens into stamps you can use to embellish paper, wood or even fabrics.

In this workshop you will learn to cut rubber stamps using examples from nature. The workshop begins with choosing an example from nature, followed by a short lesson on how to process it into a suitable design for stamp carving. After this you will get started with knives and rubber to cut a beautiful stamp from your own design.
You leave the workshop with one or more homemade stamps and the knowledge to make your own stamps at home. The workshop takes about 1,5 hours and is given at 11:00 and once again at 15:00
